2017 New Year’s Eve Events


Midnight Noon 

Maryland Science Center

December 31, 10am – 2pm

This annual New Year’s Eve celebration lets children can enjoy the ball drop before bed time!  There will be fun New Year’s festivities throughout the day, including a live concert by popular kids band Milkshake. Their Grammy-nominated tunes will keep you dancing throughout the day. The entire Science Center will be open and ready for you to explore. All activities are FREE with paid admission, and free to members.


Noontime New Year’s Celebration

Early bedtime or not, partygoers will enjoy a festive day of play. Dance the day away, make jingle bell bracelets, sound sandwiches and diffusion snowflakes to help out with our famous Noontime Countdown. After the countdown, enjoy a milk and cookie toast and more play!

PANDORA Ice Rink at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor

Go for a spin, break the ice, spice up date night, or teach your children to skate at the PANDORA Ice Rink. The Rink will be open daily, with special programming and events happening throughout the season. Admission is $10 for adults and $9 for children, seniors, and members of the military. “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer 4-D” Immersion Film
National Aquarium

November 10 – January 1

The National Aquarium presents a magical twist on a holiday classic this winter, as “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer 4-D” makes a much anticipated return to the National Aquarium’s 4-D Immersion Theater.

Guests can journey with Rudolph as he sets off on a series of adventures after being ousted from Christmastown because of his red nose. He meets new friends Hermey the Elf and Yukon Cornelius along the way and escapes the clutches of the Abominable Snow Monster!

The Aquarium’s 4-D Immersion Theater brings Rudolph and friends to life, allowing visitors to get close to the sights and sounds of the action. The theater is equipped with 4-D capabilities, combining the excitement of a 3-D film with special sensory effects.

Gingerbread Lane Exhibit
Maryland Science Center

November 11 – January 7

Take a stroll around a Baltimore-themed gingerbread village hand crafted by chef Jon Lovitch. The art installation will be considered for a world record for largest installation of its kind. Located on Level Two, Gingerbread Lane is a unique holiday experience that begins a new tradition at the Inner Harbor.

West Shore Park will be transformed into a traditional German Christmas Market, complete with more than 40 vendors selling traditional European crafts, arts, jewelry, holiday gifts, food, sweets & drinks. Special holiday-themed programming will take place each weekend.


Gobble Cobble Turkey Trot

Downtown Baltimore’s only Turkey Trot! Enjoy the festive run through the Inner Harbor before you enjoy a great Thanksgiving Day. Post-race refreshments and prize drawings at The MAC. Proceeds are donated to Pancreatic Cancer Clinic at Johns Hopkins and Greater MD Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. 30th Annual Baltimore Parade of Lighted Boats

33rd Annual Merry Tuba Christmas
