It’s the most wonderful time of the year on the Baltimore waterfront with merriment, free, fun-filled festivities and bountiful good cheer! From mid-November through the end of December, we’re making it a holiday season you and your family will always remember. It’s a wonderful life… on the waterfront.

 

Holiday Events

Harbor East’s Window Wonderland: The Unveiling Event

Join Harbor East for an evening full of holiday jolly and the unveiling of Window Wonderland, a month-long holiday arts exhibit featuring storefronts decorated for the season by some of the region’s finest artists. The streets & boutiques alkie will be filled with carolers, refreshments and fun including stilit walkers, acrobats and more! Families, don’t miss the “Milk & Cookies Social” just for kids including  holiday activities from 5:30-7:30pm in the lobby of The MAC, hosted by Harbor East & (cool) progeny.

 

Santa’s Arrival

Santa’s arrival on ice! Be one of the first 100 children, 14 and under, to register to become a “Mini VIP” at the Waterfront Partnership Ice Rink! Registration includes free skating*, a holiday themed treat, and signature rink souvenir to help welcome Santa and his guests! Lace up at the Waterfront Partnership Ice Rink, experience breathtaking skating performances by The Next Ice Age, and welcome Santa and his friends from around the Inner Harbor as he parades from the Ice Rink to his home for the season at the Amphitheatre!

Event is free to attend and open to the general public, registration for free skating and holiday giveaways is limited to 100 children. One child per registration.

*Free skating for first 100 children registered includes one (1) skate pass and skate rental. Smallest skates available are a youth size 9.

The Next Ice Age is a dance company on ice which was founded in 1988 in Baltimore. The company has performed locally and world wide for 26 years including 2 well attended seasons at he Kennedy Center as well as the American Dance Festival. For more information visit their website thenexticeage.org.

National Aquarium’s Holiday Celebration

The National Aquarium’s annual “Holiday Celebration,” taking place on Dec. 5, will feature festive music and dance performances from around the world. The Knott Harbor View Room and Blue Wonders will transform into a holiday village with live music, crafts and appearances from two very special visitors—Santa and the Polar Express Train Conductor. Guest can enjoy special Kwanzaa and Hanukkah displays while munching on seasonal treats and sipping on hot chocolate, regular or spiked (for the 21+ crowd) for purchase.

 

31st Annual Merry Tuba Christmas

4th Annual Rock the Dock Family Holiday Bash
December 13 – 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Power Plant Building

The Power Plant’s 4th Annual “Rock the Dock” Family Holiday Bash will feature live music, holiday-themed arts & crafts, ornament making, cookie decorating, face painting, holiday storytelling, train rides along the promenade, a moon bounce, surprise guests, and so much more!

Make sure you arrive early and get your FREE photo with Santa. Power Plant restaurants will be sampling soups and other offerings sure to keep you and your family warm, cozy and in the holiday spirit.

Don’t forget to “enter to win” over $1,000 in giveaways and prizes. This event is FREE and open to the public. Sections of the event will be tented and heated, but please dress warmly.

The first 100 families to RSVP will receive free parking. Others who RSVP by December 6th will receive $5 validated parking at the Pier V garage (while supplies last/ one parking voucher per family).
